The Lottery units of Romania would witness the card payments implemented by Romania’s state-owned CEC Bank.
The payments to the lottery services can also be done using contactless payment modes such as phones.
CEC Bank is set to deploy POS equipment to the 903 Lottery units across the country and the installation is expected to get finished by the end of January.
As per reports by Gambling Insider, General manager of the Romanian Lottery Sebastian-Iacob Moga said, “Implementing card payment in all our agencies is another important and necessary step in the process of digitising the Romanian Lottery and a fulfilled promise to our players.
“The pilot project on card payment started last year in 91 agencies in Bucharest and Brasov, and was carried out successfully, in compliance with all security standards.”
