Yokohama city has completed the holding of first of the six public online briefings which included the outlining of the plans for the Integrated Resorts.

The briefing focused on the direction in which the city is heading and provided an insight into the operator management and operator recruitment criteria.

The development plan would be voted upon by the City Council after verification and selection of the applications submitted by the operators.

As per Gambling Insider, A total of six meetings have been scheduled between now and 14 March, with Deputy Mayor Toshihide Hirahara saying during the first briefing: “We hope that you will understand the various attractions of an IR, the job creation, positive impact on Yokohama’s economic development and the contribution to the city’s finances. I believe that this will be one of the sparks needed for economic recovery after coronavirus.”
