The Bhartiya Janta Party announced its fifth list of candidates featuring 13 names for the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections, which will be held in two phases on 9 and 14 Dec. The list includes four Patidar names also.
The name of Gujarat minister Vallabhbhai Kakadia is also included in the list who will fight from Thakkarbap Nagar. Apart from this, the other Patidar candidates in the list are Narayana Bhai Patel (Unjha), Ramanbhai Patel (Vijapur) and Pankaj Desai (Nadiad). Other than this the name of Gujarati actor Hitesh Kanodiya is also included in the list, which got tickets from Idar assembly.
Simultaneously, the BJP released 70 names in the first list for the 182-seat assembly, 36 in the second, 28 in the third and only one name in the fourth list. Overall, the BJP has declared the names of 148 candidates so far.

The first phase of the elections will be held on 9 Dec and the second will be on 14 Dec. The results will be announced on 18 Dec.
