As BJP party celebrates the Modi-Fest at the completion of three years rule at the Centre, Congress accuses the Modi government for farmer suicides, unemployment, effects of demonetisation, corruption and party slogans.

Congress leader Kamal Nath during a press conference said that, around 35 farmers are committing suicide everyday. They are not able to take any advantage from the Fasal Beema Yojan. He alleged that the rules of this policy is so complicated for a common man to understand, that other than the selected insurance companies, no one is benefiting. He also accused the government for not coming up with any strategy for subsistence farmers. He further added that, many of the farmers do farming for subsistence and not as a profession. Still the government did not do anything for them other than coming up with slogans.

Talking about the employment issue Kamal Nath reminded about the promise of generating 2 crore jobs every year by Narendra Modi. He said Modi did not keep up his promise and as a result of that the youth were lost, not knowing what to do or where to go for jobs. He also added that because the government failed to create 2 crore jobs, now India will have to create 4 crore jobs to restore the balance.

Kamal Nath than hit the Modi government over demonetisation saying that, the government still had not come out with data about how much black money was unearthed after the ban on old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. Almost eight months after demonetisation, the government has still not given any information. People went through difficulties in the hope that black money will be eradicated, but nothing happened.

Nath also spoke about the Vyapam Scam, he questioned the government as to where is the investigation about this scam. It is one of the biggest scams in the country, and the one who paid the money went to jail, and the one who did not pay are free. He further demanded to know what did the figure 7.2 % GDP growth stand for? Does it translate into jobs or wealth creation?

Kamal Nath finally said that the future of this country is in dark both on social and economic fronts. The country is on the verge of seeing strife in the future. Nath added that only the BJP and NDA are celebrating three years of the Modi government. Congress has planned a series of protests and pressers to highlight what they call the failure of the Modi government.Congress leader Randeep Surjewala posted a list of planned party press conferences across the country.

The party will also hold a day-long protest in Mumbai on Friday against the NDA government.
