Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha is going to launch ‘Rashtra Manch’ (National Platform), a body which, according to him, will comprise of political leaders and others who are “concerned” with the prevailing situation in India.

Apart from Trinamool Congress MP Dinesh Trivedi’s confirmed participation in Sinha’s venture, another disgruntled MP of the ruling NDA is expected to join, although the identity of this MP has still not been revealed.

Sinha refused to tell reporters about people who will join him, saying their identities will be revealed soon. He added, however, that they would be joining in their individual capacities over concerns of “grave social, economic and constitutional crises” facing the country today.

A few media reports claimed Sinha will be joined by BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, Aam Aadmi Party’s Ashutosh, Samajwadi Party’s Ghanshyam Tiwari, NCP’s Majid Memon and Congress member Manish Tewari, although there have been no confirmations of this fact yet.

Yashwant Sinha has been a vocal critic of the current government ever since Narendra Modi came to power as Prime Minister in 2014. His latest venture is being described as an attempt to derail BJP’s chances of victory in next year’s general elections.
