The batsman from New Zealand Colin Munro has been signed by the Perth Scorchers for the upcoming season of Big Bash League 2020-21. Missing out on the contract with NZC has not affected the image of Colin Munro being a great T20 cricketer.

Colin Munro stands at the 5th position in the ICC’s T20 ranking for batsmen. With a strike rate of 156.44 which is the fourth highest strike rate considering the 500 runs mark. He was a prime asset and a great team player for the Trinbago Knight Riders who have been crowned champions of the CPL in September. With a strike rate of 133.54, he scored 207 runs which included two half-centuries.

Munro is delighted and quite excited to be part of Perth Scorchers as the club has been performing at an amazing level since the beginning of BBL. He feels very special to be part of the team.

In the Scorchers, Munro has teamed up with Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone. Munro will be available for the team for the entire season but the England pair of Jason Roy and Liam will be unavailable for the first 3 matches as they will touring South Africa.

Joe Clarke will handle things until Jason Roy arrives as he has been named a replacement for him. With a great strike rate of 149.05 and proving himself in the previous season by scoring 371 runs at a strike rate of 171 and being the 5th top scorer of the tournament, the number speaks for themselves.
