Kolkata-based startup Peazy was started rendering services to control traffic and to give proper parking facility to everyone. They have a vision of providing live parking availability information from every parking lot in India. This platform gets connected with all the parking systems whether it’s public or private parking lot so that users can easily trace the location from their smartphone and if there is any space vacant they can book and use it. Peazy is also approaching Municipal Corporation with an internet based solution that would help to connect all the parking lots with one common platform.
Chandigarh is the first city to get connected with this technology and will be using it. There are other cities as well who are planning to adapt this technology to make parking smart and they are as follows Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bhopal and Ahmedabad.
This is not only for public benefit Peazy will be gaining a huge amount of money by selling parking data to navigation companies that have in-car navigation services. Navigation manufacturing company, TomTom is showing interest in purchase the parking data for six cities. Secondly, Peazy is planning to provide value added services to its users like Confirmed Availability once the platform has some users. Peazy is trying to solve the problem that affects millions of drivers daily. Parking problems are multiplying day by day and startups have to come up with such solutions.
Peazy is on the 32nd position at the Catapooolt Changemakers Season 2 and is trying to bring a change in their idea ‘new age intelligent parking locator’. They are planning to expand the service area so that more people can make use of it.
