In today’s first Quarter earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook made a statement about expanding Apple Pay to Brazil later this year. Though the exact date is not revealed yet the words from Cook gave a hint of launching it soon.

The first time rumors about the expansion of Apple Pay to Brazil began two years ago but it was only in the December of 2017 when users in Brazil were actually able to see terms of service information when trying to add a Visa Platinum card.The whole update made sure of an expected launch in the nearby future. Though, all the things are not cleared yet, as the list of banks supporting Apple Pay isn’t available but same is expected to be revealed soon.
From its launch in 2014 , the tech giant Apple has expanded Apple Pay user base to more than a dozen countries across the globe, including the likes of US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland, Hong Kong, France, Russia, China, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and UAE.

Apple Pay works on all the gadgets offered by the house from iPhone 6 and further models, Apple Watch models and the same can also be used to make purchases in apps and on the web on Macs and iPads. It is a great help for the users who have been waiting to use the mobile payment option.

The earnings call also stated that Apple Pay is available at over 50 percent of all retail locations in the United States and marked the best ever quarter in Q1 2018. The mobile payment option’s footprint grew by over 50% year-over-year which added to the increase in company’s volume.
