Panasonic has launched a new flagship class Panasonic Lumix G9 DSLR camera in USA with high-end photography skills. This camera is designed for those professional photographs which offer up to 60 frames per second still photography and an improved 5 axial optical image stabilisation. The camera will be made available in January 2018 and is priced at $1,699 for the camera body.

Here are the tech specifications on the Panasonic Lumix G9:

The Panasonic Lumix G9 offers a 20.3 MP camera sensor with Micro Four Third Image Sensor with a Venus engine that enables up to 60 frames per second autofocus burst mode. One can also go with the 20 frames per second Autofocus, that uses the build-in electronic shutter to lock the focus on the camera. With both modes, the camera offers 50 RAW or Jpeg images, which is a bit lower than the Sony’s competition camera.

This camera also adds few software tweaks which offers an additional high-resolution mode that offers up to 80 MP images in both JPEG and RAW. Basically, the camera stitches the 8 individual images to make it as a single image. The sensor also offers optical image stabilisation which reduces overall shakiness of the still images. The camera also offers an anti-shake feature which works well for both photos and videos.

The camera offers a 0.83x magnification electronics viewfinder. which has a resolution of up to 3,680K dots. It also named as the “zero-blackout” for the high-speed shooting, which offers the best viewfinder in the market. Coming to the video recording capability, the device does support 4K video recording capability with up to 60 frames per second with 10-bit video footage rendering.

Finally, in terms of connectivity, the camera offers Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, and dual full-sized SD card slots. The 3.0-inch touchscreen display also offers vivid colours and overall a splash resistance body, which should protect the camera from accidental splashes. As of now, there is no information on the availability outside US. So, what do you think about this new Panasonic Lumix G9? Share your views in the comment box.
