Xiaomi China launches a new affordable version of Xiaomi Mi 6. Initially, the device was launched with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB storage variant priced at CNY 2,499 and 2,899 (₹25,000 and 29,000). Now the new model with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard storage is priced at CNY 2,299 (₹23,000). The new model will be available from 11th November as the part of single day sale via Xioami online store.

Except for the RAM, the remain specifications remains intact with the standard variant. Here are the complete set of tech specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 6.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 features a full glass unibody solution with 2.5D curved glass on the front and the back. The mid-frame is made using the 6000 series Aluminum which gives the structural rigidity and overall strength. The device features a premium 5.2-inch 1080p IPS LCD panel with real life look alike colour accuracy and punchier colour, without over saturation.

Under the hood, the device is powered by top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage (no external SD card). The device offers top of the line performance with Adreno 540 GPU. Coming to the camera capability, the device offers dual rear camera solution with 12 MP wide angle lens and 12 MP telephoto lens with X2 optical zooming and portrait mode. For the selfie enthusiasts, the device offers wide-angle 5 MP shooter with 1080p video recording capability.

Coming to the remaining aspect, the device offers MiUi 9, which is built on top of the Android Nougat 7.0 with an expected upgrade to Android Oreo in the near future. Finally, the device is incarnated with a 3350 mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capability via USB type C port, which also triples as USB OTG port and audio output (the device doesn’t offer 3.5 mm headphone jack).

However, the company is nowhere interested in launching this device, so, the only way to get this device in India is to import it from China.
