It looks like the Game of telecom for the iron thrones will be dragged into 2018 as well. According to the predictors and analysts, the mobile tariff plans including data packs and voice call packs will see s steep decline up to 25% to 30%.

To compete with the fresher (Jio) market leaders like Bharti Airtel and Vodafone In will offer further cheaper data than the existing ones. The price war will be more aggressive over the year, offering cheaper data plans than the already existing packages.

Telecoms will offer data plans ranging from INR 200 to 500 with the validity of at least 28 days to max 84 days. This bundles will include similar packages that are currently offered.  Unlimited data and free voice call bundles will be offered to retain their customers.

Even though the Telecoms offering unlimited data and free voice calls, the telecoms are not in a great loss. In fact, now an average user will spend at least 250 for the data and calls. The analyst also concludes that the data plans will stabilise by the end of 2018, which reduces the loss happening to the telecoms.

Here are some of the comments from the leaders of the Indian Telecom industry. According to Rajan Mathews(director-general of industry body Cellular Operators Association of India), the war for market share is weakening the finances of an industry sitting on a mountain of debt but is unlikely to end soon.He also expects that, the bloodbath to continue for at least another year. This will further increase stress levels of the telecom industry.

All these things are in favour of consumers, as the mobile data requirement has gone from 1 GB per month to 1 GB per day, its fascinating to know that we were day-robbed by the telecoms before the entry of Jio into the existence.
