The upcoming film Marjaavaan that stars Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet has created a lot of buzz. While over the top action and the quirky rhyming dialogues of the film have captured the audience’s attention, the songs of the film are also doing very well especially Ek Toh Kam Zindagani featuring Nora Fatehi.
After doing Dilbar in Batla House, Nora Fatehi has become the go to girl for special songs in the films. Her songs have crossed millions of views on YouTube. Coming back to songs of Marjaavaan, you would be surprised to know that initially Nushrat Bharucha who was recently seen in Dream Girl with Ayushmann Khurrana was supposed to do a special song in the film. She even shot for the song with much pomp and funfair, however, the makers later realised that the song did not match the story line anywhere and hence scrapped it.
While there are no reports to support that Nushrat was roped in to do Ek To Kam Zindagani but some online news reports from June claim she shot for a song with Sidharth Malhotra. Titled Peeyu Datke, the song was sung and composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh while Mudassar choreographed it.
But later the makers felt the song was not going well with the narrative of the film and therefore decided to remove it from the film. Instead, they decided to include Nora Fatehi’s number. Seeing the success of Nora’s recent songs, it doesn’t come off as a surprise.
Coming back to the movie, Marjaavaan is a powerful mass action love story with the highlight being the battle between Sidharth and Riteish’s character. While Riteish plays a dwarf villain, Sidharth plays a lover boy.
Directed by Milaap Zaveri, the film is slated to release on 15th of November.
