People have always wondered if they can post the same picture simultaneously to Facebook and Instagram or why enter the debit card number to purchase something on Instagram when Facebook already has the digits. Now cross-platform controls are not a dream anymore as Facebook has announced the creation of a new portal named Accounts Center.
Accounts Center would allow to manage the account details for all the Facebook-owned apps from one centralized interface. This also includes the ability to crosspost and manage the payment options. This means users would find it easy to recover the accounts if they forget the password or get locked out.
The thing that doesn’t change in the Accounts Center is the ability to maintain separate identities in Facebook-owned apps. This means users can have separate profile pictures and information and distinct names or handles.
Facebook will start testing the new portal this week but there is no confirmation on when the feature would start to roll out for everyone.
