National Lottery operator Camelot, based in Britain, has announced that it will fund and support British athletes in Tokyo 2020.
The operator is going to fund Covid-19 safety measures and protocols and also become the official partner of ParalympicsGB and an official supporter of Team GB.
The funding by the operator is intended to ensure that British Olympic and Paralympic athletes are kept safe as the tournament launches in the following months.
As per Gambling Insider, Camelot CEO, Nigel Railton, said: “We’re delighted to support TeamGB and ParalympicsGB during what has been an extraordinary period for the whole of the UK.”
British Olympic Association CEO, Andy Anson, said: “The support of Camelot is timely in ensuring we’re able to maintain the world class environment for our athletes in Tokyo.”
