Samsung their second dual camera smartphone in China AKA Samsung Galaxy C8. Don’t worry, this is not a new device, instead, it’s a rebranded Samsung Galaxy J7+ that was launched earlier this week in Thailand.

The device comes with a full metal unibody design with fuses antenna bands. The device will be available in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colours. However, there is no information about the pricing or availability of the device, it should go on sale within a week or so.

The Samsung Galaxy C8 features a 5.5 inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek Helio P20 Octa-core SoC, paired with 3 GB or 4 GB RAM with 32 GB or 64 GB onboard flash storage.

Coming to the main aspect of the mobile, the rear-dual camera setup. The device offers 13 MP main sensor with F/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5 MP sensor depth sensing sensor (just like Lenovo K8 Note). Combination of these sensors can give bokeh effect to your smartphone with 1080p video recording capability. For the selfie enthusiasts, the device features a 16 MP front-facing camera with a F/1.9 aperture with wide angle lens and a single tone LED flash.

From the connectivity perspective, the device features a dual SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability. Other features like Bluetooth 4.2, dual band WiFi support and WiFi hotspot are present. The Galaxy C8 measures 152.4 x 74.7 x 7.9mm and weighs at 180g, making it a bit heavy smartphone in this price territory.

The device offers a non-user replaceable 3000 mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capability via USB type C port. Galaxy C8 offers Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box and entitled to receive Android Oreo in the near future.
