According to the recent leaks and renders, the upcoming flagship smartphone from Google AKA Google Pixel 2 will be unveiled at an event held at Google headquarters. Here is the speculated features list of the upcoming smartphone from the internet search giant.

In terms of build quality, Pixel 2 will follow similar design tone like the original Pixel, instead of a full metal body, the rear-panel will feature glass and metal back case to incorporate wireless charging technology. Google pixel 2 is also expected to feature IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB and 128 GB onboard flash storage (no SD card slot). As the display goes, the device features 4.98-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080p resolution, with narrow bezels and probably expected to feature 18:9 aspect ratio (like the one found in the LG G6 and LG V30).

Coming to the camera, it seems Google is not into the race of dual camera modules, the device is expected to feature a single 12 MP rear-facing camera, just like the previous iteration the camera will offer EIS (electronic image stabilisation) instead of optical image stabilisation.  Last year at the time of Google Pixel launch, the company condemned Apple for removing the 3.5 mm headphone jack, now Google is planning to make the same mistake to ditch 3.5 mm headphone jack. However, to ease the burden of the consumer, the retail package will feature a USB type C port to 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The Pixel 2 will be the first smartphone to be powered by Android Oreo 8.1 (improved version of Android Oreo 8.0) with features like bundled notifications, picture-in-picture mode, and live notification. Finally, the device is expected to be priced around $700 for the entry level model and might go up to $850 for the 128 GB variant.
