Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals played against each other in match number 52 of IPL 2022.

It was the first time they were playing against each other, Punjab Kings after winning the last game against the Titans is seen in great form and must be looking for another win. After losing the last game against Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan will be looking for a win.

Punjab Kings won the toss and elected to bat first and set up a high score and defend it. The start was great as they scored 47 runs in the first five overs themselves and did not lose any wicket. As the last over started of the powerplay started Ravichandran Ashwin took the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan.

Jonny Bairstow amazing fifty made the Kings stronger and shot knocks by the upcoming batsmen added some valuable runs to the total of the Kings.

While Yuzvendra Chahal took three of the most valuable wickets of the Punjab team trying to limit them to as less runs as possible.

In the end, Punjab Kings scored a total of 189 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

Now it was time for the Second Innings, Rajasthan Royals to chase down the run scored by the opponent. As seen in the IPL the form of the batsmen of Rajasthan has been incredible especially the orange cap holder Jos Buttler. The firing start from Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal of 46 runs in just three and a half overs was the thing that was must need for their team.

The outstanding fifty by Yashasvi Jaiswal and the nine fours in his Inning of 68 runs made his team come close to winning the game.

Arshdeep Singh tried his best by taking two of the major wickets of the Royals and trying to stop them from chasing down the run scored by his team.

Meanwhile, the firing knocks by Devdutt Padikal and Shimron Hetmyer took the game away from Punjab Kings.

In the end, Rajasthan Royals won by six wickets and Yashasvi Jaiswal was chosen as the Man Of The Match.
