Pakistan’s Army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday urged India to hold peace talks between the two country –India and Pakistan, instead of adopting ceasefire violations and provocative statements along with the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, India.

Bajwa said, “We are a professional and combat hardened army ready to defend our motherland … It would be better if they (India) realize this and place their stock in peace and progress through dialogue.”

According to the army’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Bajwa made his this suggestion to Indian civilian and military leadership during his visit to the LoC on Wednesday.
