Congress files complaint against Modi, accuses him of violating model code of conduct

In an attempt to win back, especially after facing defeat in the recent Assembly Polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to activate cadre and seek the voter’s support. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to tour 20 states in the next 100 days to claw his way back ahead of the crucial 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

The party is determined to strengthen its alliances and make inroads into southern and eastern states of the country. BJP has revived its ‘Mission 123’ for the coming General Elections. The mission is aimed at winning the 123 seats that the saffron party lost in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Last year, these 123 seats were categorised into 25 clusters by the party and one leader was given charge of each cluster.

PM Modi will visit these clusters which include Assam, Odisha and West Bengal. The party had won just 10 seats out of the 77 Lok Sabha seats in these states in 2014. So it will be focusing on these areas. The party will hold several government programmes or public interactions which will be addressed by PM Modi in these states.

A BJP leader told the media that Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to be the most popular leader from BJP. He added that the party is set to capitalize on the fact that Modi is the only candidate who can provide a stable government.

Also, the Prime Minister has no scheduled foreign visits for the next four months of 2019 to focus entirely on the Lok Sabha Polls slated in April-May.
