Ford is all set to bring the Ford Ranger Raptor to India. However, at the same time, it was rumored that the US carmaker will come with the Ford Focus and Focus ST in India. Do you know what Ford Focus and Focus ST are all about? Here is all you need to know about the upcoming hatchback.

As compared to the Volkswagen Golf, the all-new Ford Focus looks sportier. However, coming to the feature list of Ford Focus ST includes adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch Magnetite wheels, large rear spoiler and ST badging all-across among others.

Based on Ford’s C2 platform that did manage to improve the driving dynamics has also improved the overall cabin space as well. Apart from this, it comes equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display, adjustable steering wheel, ventilated seats with both heating & cooling function, etc. Further, the infotainment system comes with Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The engine that powers the Ford Focus is a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 125PS of power. Meanwhile, the premium hatchback also comes with a 2.0L turbocharged petrol motor that churns out a maximum output of 160PS. However, the performance variant of this premium hatchback known as Focus ST will get a 2.3L EcoBoost petrol engine. It produces 280PS of power with a maximum torque of 420Nm. Apart from this, the 2.3L EcoBoost petrol engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Being a performance hatchback, there are no direct rivals of the Ford Focus as well as Focus ST. However, the Focus ST will come via the CBU route to India.
