Yamaha has recently unveiled the 2021 MT-09 globally. And the motorcycle is now better in every aspect including a revised look as well as a more powerful engine. However, it will not get the twin-pod LED headlight unit anymore. Infact, it is now replaced by an all-LED unit with DRLs.
For the naked superbike, Yamaha has redesigned the fuel tank shrouds. After all these updates the-all new Yamaha MT-09 has lost around 4 kgs of its weight. However, the color schemes Yamaha is offering on the all-new MT-09 are – Icon Blue, Storm Fluo and Tech Black.
The engine that now powers the Euro-5 updated Yamaha MT-09 is an 890cc motor. This engine produces 119Ps of power @ 10,000 RPM and 93Nm of peak torque @ 7000 RPM.
Apart from the reworked engine, the bike now also comes with the 41mm KYB upside-down adjustable forks at the front. Meanwhile, the rear suspension is now an adjustable KYB shock unit. Yamaha, however, is also offering the revised 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels on the all-new MT-09.
Globally, Yamaha MT-09 will compete with the KTM Duke 790 and the Triumph Street Triple. However, for this segment, the updated MT-09 might have to face tough competition.
