Sony, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electronic consumer products, is back in India with PlayStation 5 Slim. The gaming console is currently priced at Rs.44,990 for the digital edition and Rs.54,990 for disc enabled version.

The surprise is Blinkit, India’s quick commerce service provider, has partnered with Sony to deliver the redesigned console to doorsteps in no time.

Blinkit x PS5: What it is?

The Zomato-owned quick commerce company has partnered with Sony to deliver PS5 Slim consoles. Although the cities serviceable are restricted to where Blinkit currently offers its service, it would still be a game changer. To be precise, Blinkit will deliver the console in three major metro cities including Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai.

Even the CEO of Blinkit, Albinder Dhindsa, confirmed the same on X.

When compared to the older PS5, the new PlayStation 5 Slim is lighter and slimmer, as the name suggests. As claimed by Sony, it is around 24 per cent lighter, and there is a 30 per cent reduction in the volume.

The manufacturer also confirms that the console now features new side covers and those are glossy/matte in terms of finish. The storage space has increased marginally and now stands at 1TB.

As expected, the digital edition supports a detachable Blu-Ray disc drive. Meanwhile, customers who wish to opt for vertical and horizontal stands need to order them separately.

Various online platforms like Amazon.in and Flipkart will also list the PlayStation 5 Slim on their websites. Other than this, it will also be retailed through several retail channels, including Sony Center, Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales, to name a few.
