TCS Market Capitalisation crosses ₹8 lakh crore; becomes second Indian company after RIL

TCS crossed ₹8 lakh crore in market capitalization on Tuesday. It is the second company after Reliance Industries Limited (RIL)

Tata Consultancy Services Limited crossed ₹8 lakh crore in market capitalization on Tuesday. It is the second company after Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). RIL crossed this mark a week back on August 23.

Past figures

On June 15 TCS was the first company to cross ₹7 lakh crore in market capitalization. In April this year it became the second company with a $100 billion in market valuation.

TCS is well-positioned to benefit from the growing demand for offshore IT services. Considering its greater experience than peers in implementing large, complex, and mission-critical projects the company is a serious contender for large deals’, the brokerage Edelweiss Securities in July reported.

TCS Shares

Share price rose by 1.86% approximately. On Bombay Stock Exchange TCS opened with a ₹2055 per share and closed at ₹2093.20 yesterday. It reached a 52 week high at ₹2100 with a market capitalization of ₹801,397.36 cr.
