A notice has been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) regarding the grade C and D stenographers examination 2017. The commission has announced for the examination to take place in the month of September.

“Government strives to have a workforce which reflects gender balance and woman candidates are encouraged to apply,” SSC said in the notice adding that women and reserved category candidates are exempt from paying the exam fees of Rs 100.

To be eligible, the candidates must be between 18-27 years of age. The upper limit may vary a little according to reservation. Aspirants should have passed class XII from a recognized board. Candidates will also be needed to produce documents including mark sheets and provisional certificates in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before August 1, 2017.

The paper is divided into three parts. General, Reasoning and Intelligence (50 marks), General Awareness (50 marks) and English language and comprehension  (100 marks) .

Steps to apply for SSC grade C, D stenographer exam 2017:

Step 1: Go to the official website for SSC (ssc.nic.in)

Step 2: Login to the site.

Step 3: Follow the link provided to apply online.

Step 4: Enter your details in the fields provided.

Note: Candidates can only apply online as the SSC will not accept offline applications.
