Similar to last year, the situations due to the COVID-19 pandemic has became worst in past few months which forced the governments of several states to impose partial or complete lockdown. This circumstances have led to cancellation of most of the Competitive, entrance, school and college exams.

But still Many of the state boards as well as the central boards CBSE and ICSE has not clarified about the status of Class 12 Board exams which are to be held soon.

Most of the board exams including CBSE boards are scheduled for June and to be held in offline mode but still none of them has came up with tentative dates. This has led students to demand clarification over the exams from responsible authorities.

The students has already started pushing the demand of cancellation of exams or futher postponement as the current situations or in the next month does not seems favourable any how and not even closer to being normal.

The students have started using social media platforms and trends to persuade the goverment with their demands which has started forcing the authorities to take a suitable decision as soon as possible.

Recently, #saveboardstudents is seen trending on twitter which was done by class 12 students across the country to seek support from people and make their demands reach the government.

The continuous increase in demand and support from a large number of stakeholders seems to be creating impact on the Board and respective authorities. Earlier, rumours came into light that CBSE is planning to design alternate assessment criteria for class 12 students as well in case of cancellation of exams.

It is also rumoured that CISCE is considering to issue new exam dates for ICSE 12 board exams and could come up with an alternate mode for conduction of exams.
