Internshala, one of the biggest platforms in the country to connect students with the internship providers, has partnered with Rajasthan Technical University to expand its reach even further. According to the signed MoU, the company will provide training to the students in the fields like soft skills and communication skills. Along with that, it will also help them access over 1,00,000 listed internships on the platform.

Internshala is currently one of the leading platforms in the country to connect employers and students. It claims to have over 20 lakh registered users and 70,000 registered businesses on the platform. Founded in 2010 by Sarvesh Agarwal, Internshala had over 4,00,000 listed internship opportunities in 2016-17 with an average stipend of INR 7500. Also, out of the total listed internships, 40% came with an option of providing full term opportunities to the students.

Speaking on the development, Sarvesh Agarwal, Founder CEO of Internshala stated “Internshala is on a mission to build a ‘world full of opportunities’ and we are excited to partner with RTU especially due to the personal connection I have with Rajasthan. We are looking forward to up-skill over 2.5 Lac students studying in colleges under RTU’s purview. Through this collaboration, we hope to promote skill building in Rajasthan and help the youth find better opportunities”.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Technical University was initiated in 2006. Currently, it has over 300 colleges with 118 engineering colleges. It currently boasts of over 2.5 lakh students in engineering & management courses. These students will now have a chance to access internships posted on Internshala.

Dr Rajeev Gupta, Pro Vice Chancellor at RTU said “Students require practical knowledge to land a job and through internships, students gain valuable experience and develop their skills even before graduating. We hope to help students enhance their competency and technical skills through this partnership”
