The third installment of Dhamaal franchise, ‘Total Dhamaal‘ starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Riteish Deshmukh in important roles has already proved to be the highest grossing film of the series. The film has now crossed 100 crore benchmark. The film had a super strong second Monday with a collection of ₹6.03 crores which took its second-week collection to over ₹28 crores net in four days.
Film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to reveal the latest figures of the film and wrote, “#TotalDhamaal shows an excellent hold on [second] Mon… Partial holiday [#Mahashivratri] helps it surpass [second] Fri biz… Will cross ₹ 125 cr today… Eyes ₹ 150 cr… [Week 2] Fri 4.75 cr, Sat 7.02 cr, Sun 11.45 cr, Mon 6.03 cr. The multi-starrer film has a good start at the commercial circuits with an earning of ₹16.50 crore on its opening day at the box office. ‘Total Dhamaal’ observed an excellent jump on its second and third day at the box office where it collected ₹20.40 crores and ₹25.50 crores respectively. It is the highest first-weekend collection of the year beating the numbers of the last week collection of ‘Gully Boy’ by ₹10 crores.
The film failed to impress movie critics but managed to make a mark on Box Office as well as among the audience.
