Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Badla’ shows a stronghold at the box office as the film collected ₹28 crores net in its second week. The film had a drop of 25% in its second collections. It is the third highest second-week collection after ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ and ‘Total Dhamaal’.

Film critic and Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, took to his twitter to address the latest box office collection and wrote, “#Badla shows excellent hold in Week 2… Crosses *lifetime biz* of #102NotOut and #Pink… [Week 2] Fri 4.05 cr, Sat 6.70 cr, Sun 8.22 cr, Mon 2.80 cr, Tue 2.60 cr, Wed 2.60 cr, Thu 2.35 cr. Total: ₹ 67.32 cr. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 79.44 cr.”

The film stands tall with a total collection of ₹56.70 crores. Badla, as the name suggests, is a revenge story where Naina (Taapsee Pannu) is accused of the murder of Arjun (Tony Luke). Naina’s lawyer, Jimmy (Manav Kaul) hires the senior advocate Badal Gupta (Amitabh Bachchan) to help her get out of the case. The story takes a series of interesting twists and turns when Naina confesses her deeds to Badal.

The direction given by Sujoy Ghosh is full of thrills and genuine twists with great effects. The cinematography by Avik Mukhopadhyay and Editing by Monisha R Baldawa compliments Sujoy’s direction. ‘Badla’ is captivating with a thrilling end.
