Anna Wintour to Retire From Her Post as Editor-In-chief of American Vogue

Anna Wintour who is also referred as “Nuclear Wintour” due to her aloof and demanding nature is the most powerful women in media today.  She started her career as an Editorial assistant at Harpers and Queen before taking over the position of editor-in-chief of Vogue America in 1988.

Every fashion lover must have seen the movie or read the novel “The Devil Wears Prada” which is based on Wintour and is written by one of her assistants.

Anna Wintour has held the position of editor-in-chief since 1988 and is reportedly leaving her post after 30 years at American Vogue after the important September issue is released. So, who will replace her? taking over Anna’s place and filling in her shoes is a great responsibility. It is said that Edward Enninful, who is the editor-in-chief of British Vogue will move to New York to take over her position, although there are other possibilities too (Mark Holgate, Sally Singer, Amy Astley and even Eva Chen)
Anna Wintour has been criticised by the readers for putting celebrities on the cover rather giving chance to models. But seeing what Edward has been doing with British vogue we are quite sure that we will keep seeing celebs most of the time.
