Indian film director Ashutosh Gowariker is very well known for his work in the movies like Lagaan and Jodha Akbar now he is gearing up for another period drama and this time he is planning to rope actor Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Kapoor for this upcoming movie which will be on the historical drama.
According to the recent reports, Ashutosh is all set with the story and he is having a script of a period drama which is on a historical battle. However, his last few movies were proved to be the debacles at the box office especially his recently produced movie with a title ‘Mohenjo Daro’, which features Hrithik Roshan in the lead but now he says that he holds a lot of gravity in term of the story.
Reports even state that the movie would only be focusing on the big war that was fought between the 16th and the 18th century. Ashutosh Gowariker is presently fine-tuning the script of the movie. Rumors are going around in the B-town that an actor Arjun Kapoor has been considered by the filmmaker for an important role while Sanjay Dutt is almost been finalized for the pivotal role in the upcoming war film. However, nothing has been finalized yet as the talks related to this are yet to reach the final settlement. Ashutosh has not issued any final statement on the same till now.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor is currently gearing up for the upcoming action thriller movie title ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar‘ has been released today. The movie which is directed by Dibakar Banerjee and produced by Yash Raj Films. The movie features Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead. In the movie, Arjun will be essaying the role of a police officer from Delhi Police. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt is currently wrapping up the last leg of his work titled ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3’, where he will be seen playing the role of a gangster. The movie was directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.
