Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar‘s ‘2.0‘ has already broken several records and have created a few. From its making cost, to its VFX and graphics, everything about the film is worth talking about.

But in a recent press conference, director of the film S Shankar disclosed a big secret about one of the main characters. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was not the first choice of the director for the role of a supervillain. He wanted to make an international film, so he approached The Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger. But as we know now, ‘things didn’t work out’.

He told media, “We had thought of casting Arnold. We had talked and allotted dates also. But somehow things didn’t work out as the contracts of Hollywood and India are contradictory. So we thought of looking at a good cast from the Indian film industry,”

“Everyone told me to consider Akshay and I also thought it would be nice. I narrated the story to him and he said yes,” the director said.

Shankar is quite sure that the film will be a mega-hit and it would connect to everyone because of its international theme. The technology is better than the prequel ‘Robot’ and it was the reason, they decided to name the film ‘2.0’.
