Ayushmann Khurrana is considered as one of the most talented and bankable actors today. The actor made his film debut in Vicky Donor in 2012 where he played the part of a sperm donor. Since then the actor has done a variety of roles, all of them different from conventional mainstream Bollywood films.

While the actor made brave choices in terms of roles and films, there is also a project which he did not choose to do when offered. But that film is now a blockbuster and even Ayushmann today regrets for passing it on. And that film is Stree.

Ayushmann Khurrana revealed during a recent appearance in a chat show that he is nor very proud of doing Bewaqoofiyan while he regrets passing Stree on.

Bewaqoofiyan was released in 2014 and starred Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor besides Ayushmann. The film received mixed reviews and tanked at the box office.

On the other hand, Stree went on to cross Rs 100 crore mark and became blockbuster. The film starred Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. The film was praised for its genre of horror comedy which is not common in Bollywood and also for the underlying subliminal message against patriarchy.

Nonetheless, Ayushmann Khurrana is currently ruling the box office. Starting with Shubh Mangal Saavdhan in 2017, the actor is giving hit after. He gave two blockbusters Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho last year. He started this year with critically and commercially successful Article 15 then gave the blockbuster Dream Girl.

His latest release Bala where he plays a young man suffering from premature baldness is doing great business and has become his biggest opening film leaving behind Dream Girl by a small margin.

Ayushmann is gearing up for next year now. He has Shoojit Sircar directorial Gulabo Sitabo where he will be seen with Amitabh Bachchan. The film is written by Juhi Chaturvedi who wrote the scripts of Vicky Donor and Piku.

He is also doing Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan which is a spin-off of his 2017 film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. He will be seen playing a gay man on the big screen for the first time.
