What does the line from Inglorious Basterds– “Au Revoir Shoshanna” meant ?
It meant, Goodbye Until We Meet Again Shoshanna. Christoph Waltz’s “Jew Hunter” character, Hans Landa said this to Melanie Laurent’s Shoshanna. It seems like the time has come to meet Shoshanna again.
French actor, Melanie Laurent is coming to meet us albeit in a new role this time. She is going to star in Netflix’s survival thriller ‘O2’.
According to a report from ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, Alexander Aja is set to helm the film. Aja is known for films such as Piranha 3D and Crawl. He’ll direct the film from a script based on Christie Leblanc’s original script, which was on The Black List.
It’ll mark the return of Alexander Aja to french-language films after a gap of 15 years. Apart from Melanie, the film will also star Mathieu Amalric and Malik Zidi.
The film’s based on a young woman, who wakes up in a medical cryo unit. The woman does not remember who she is nor how she ends up in an isolated box, not larger than a coffin. To compound her problems further, she’s suffering from oxygen loss and must rebuild her memory to get out of the box.
Getaway Films are producing the film via Vincent Maraval, Brahim Chioua and Noemie Devide.
Melanie Laurent is known for starring in films such as The Inglorious Basterds, 6 Underground, Enemy and Now You See Me among others.
