Hotstar recently slashed the prices of the subscription with up to 70% compared to the original pricing. So, even the credit card-only restriction is also taken out. Now, if you have a credit or debit card, then you can get a 12-month Hotstar premium subscription in just 696 for one year, usually, the subscription is priced at INR 199 per month, making it a total of 1200 per month.
However, the problem is if you already have an active Hotstar Pro membership, then one has to wait till it expires.
Why Hotstar? If you are a Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, or Prison break fan, then you can watch all these programmes under one roof, with just a few minutes of delay compared to the US airing. And probably, this is the only platform, that offers all DC and Marvel hot details in HD and Dolby sound signature. However, as of now, they don’t have any titles that are exclusive. Netflix is costliest of the lot and offers lots of original content like Narcos, and Raman naman. The company is even planning to produce content exclusive to India as well. So, if you are a movie buff and likes to watch a lot of international stuff, then consider the Netflix.
