Bollywood has become more impersonal: Farah Khan!

An Indian film director Farah Khan says that now Bollywood has become more impersonal. Farah began her career as a choreographer in the Hindi movie later, she has donned down the director’s hat for the blockbuster movies like ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Happy New Year’. She has journeyed for over two decades in the showbiz and says that Bollywood has now become more impersonal.

When asked that how the attitude of the actors have changed over the years, Farah said that it is but obvious that all people are very professional and all that, but at the same time she feels that there are something which is still the same and actors are still self-absorbed and so is the actress.

She says that now everything is run by the managers and the artist management companies and nowadays it has all become a little impersonal and it is just not like earlier what it used to be. Earlier it was a little personal, but now it is all corporate and impersonal. She started her career in 1992 with the movie ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ and then in 2014, he directed her first movie with a title ‘Main Hoon Na’ starring from her close friend and superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Currently, she can be seen as the host of the Star Plus reality television show titled ‘Lip Sing Battle’ and she feels grateful for her journey of 25 years in the Bollywood industry. She says that it feels like that she has just started yesterday, the time has flown, but it’s nice. In her recent show ‘Lip Sing Battle’ she got the opportunity to meet new people and relationship along with those actors goes back so many years. She feels superb that she is 25 years down the line and she is doing a relevant work and still in the thick of it all. She is very grateful for that.

Farah Khan got married to the filmmaker Shirish Kunder in 2004 and she gave birth to triplets. When asked that how does she manage her work along with her personal life. About this Farah says that she does not do everything at one time. She had taken a long gap of about five-six months and in that she has even taken her kids for a holiday. Moreover, she said that after her current show ‘Lip Sing Battle’ will get over by October end and after that she will be writing script.

Farah spends a lot of time along with her three children. Now, they don’t have time anymore, but when she got out it’s just her, her kids and her husband Shirish so whatever time she does spend with them, it’s a lot for a working person. When asked that does she planning to direct a show on the small screen, she said that she has been offered a lot of web series, but she feels that the television has a different work style and she is really spoilt by doing movies and she has always given a huge budget, lot of days and big stars. So directing for the television she does not think that she has that much patience or the inclination to do that. She would rather be on the television instead of directing it.
