Actress Gauhar Khan will be next seen essaying the villainous role of Komolika in the TV serial ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’. The role which was earlier played by Hina Khan, was left out after Hina left the show. It will be interesting to see Gauhar portray this iconic role which once made Urvashi Dholakia famous.
Gauhar started her career by appearing in a British documentary film ‘Bitches & Beauty Queens: The Making of Miss India’ in 2002. She later appeared as a contestant in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3’ in 2009 and was the first runner up.
In 2013, Gauhar appeared in the seventh season of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, where her relationship with actor Kushal Tandon attracted a lot of attention. She eventually won the show.
Gauhar then went on to appear on ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 5’ where she made into the semi-finals.
The Bigg Boss winner then hosted a singing competition show called ‘India’s Raw Star’.
In 2015, She made an appearance in the reality show ‘I Can Do That’, which was hosted by Farhan Akhtar.
Gauhar recently appeared in the sitcom ‘The Office’, which is based on the namesake BBC series. Streaming on Hotstar, Gauhar is essaying the role of Riya Pahwa in the show, based on the role of Jan Levinson.
It would be interesting to see her take on the iconic character of Komolika in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ as she has often showcased her ability to play grey characters.
