We reported last month that actor Shilpa Shetty had joined actors Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash for the upcoming film Hungama 2. Now we have learnt that Priyadarshan directorial venture will also feature the recreated version of one of the most popular songs of the ‘90s. And it is none other than Shilpa’s own hit track Chura Ke Dil Mera from her 1994 film Main Khiladi Tu Anadi.

According to a report on entertainment website Bollywood Hungama, the remix version will mark the entry of Shilpa with some innovative dance steps. The song will be recreated by music composer Anu Malik who also composed the 1994 version. While the original song was sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik, the remake will have the voice of Anu Malik’s daughter Anmol.

The report cited a source revealing that the song has already been recorded at YRF Studios earlier this week. “It was a moment of nostalgia for Anu as he had composed the music many years ago. So when Shilpa, clad in an orange leopard-print skirt and top, had danced so amazingly to Chura Ke Dil Mera, who better than she herself to match her steps to her remix,” the source said adding that it will be shot from January next year after Priyadarshan comes to Mumbai.

Hungama 2 is set to be the standalone sequel of Priyadarshan’s 2003 comedy film Hungama. It also marks his return to Bollywood after his last film Rangrezz came out in 2013. The shooting of the film will start from 6 January next year.
