Rakesh Omprakash Mehra’s directorial Rang De Basanti manifests the societal issues in India. A British student travels to India to document the story of five freedom fighters of India. Helmed by Kabir Khan, Chak De India peddles patriotism, gender bias and religious bashing at the same time. Shahrukh Khan plays the role of a coach of the Indian Women Hockey Team, with desires to salvage his reputation lost in the past and make the Indian team win the international tournament.

Aditya Dhar’s directorial military drama depicts the attack on the Indian Army base in Uri. The film showcases the attack which resulted in the deaths of 19 troops and its aftermath. Vicky Kaushal starrer exhibits the incidents of surgical strikes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The film also features Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and Mohit Raina in key roles.

Based on the life journey of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the film showcases the events from the 26/11 Mumbai attack on Hotel Taj. The film features Adivi Sesh as Major Unnikrishnan, who fought against the terrorists to save the citizens of his nation. Major beautifully depicts the bravery of the soldier, who was awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award.
