An Indian stand up comedian, television presenter, actor and producer Kapil Sharma says that after his mid air fight with Sunil Grover he started drinking heavily. He was once the darling of all the Bollywood stars and now he became a villain with no time.
It all started when Kapil Sharma has thrown shoes on his co-actor Sunil Grover on a flight and following to that which lead Sunil quit the show. Along with Sunil, many other actors have even left the show and that has affected the TRP’s to a great extent.
Later, Kapil’s health got deteriorated and there were rumours all over that he is not well because of the falling TRP’s and then a series of celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn could not shoot the episodes because Kapil was not there on the sets. However, there were reports claimed that he did not turn up for the shoot because of bad health, his arrogance, late night parties were also cited as reasons.
Later, Kapil finally admitted that after a mid-air fight between him and Sunil there was a problem, but he said that the reports were exaggerated and they are almost entirely fabricated. He said that there were reports that he asked that food should be served to him first on the flight and that made him angry and he threw a shoe at Sunil. On this, he said, “You’ve known me for some years. Do you think I am capable of such behaviour?”
These rumours affected Kapil deeply and he started drinking heavily and it was so unnecessary and it was very painful. Along with Sunil Grover, Chandan Prabhakar, Ali Asgar even left the show. However, Sunil has taken a step forward and he had wished luck to Kapil for his upcoming movie ‘Firangi’ during his Twitter chat. Even Kapil revealed he even tried o bring Sunil Grover back on the show but he has other commitments like live performances etc and he said that Sunil knows that this show is as much his as mine.
About the cancellation of the shoots, Kapil clarifies that he is not that stupid to cancel the shoot and turn away the big stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. On this Kapil says, “They all knew what my problem was. They all saw how I was suffering. They were all very caring. None of them minded. Only a section of the media made me sound like this arrogant monster who was using his health as an excuse to turn away stars just to satisfy my ego.”
Kapil shared that all his stars are very supportive earlier when Arjun Rampal had to go without shooting, but later Arjun came back because he knew what Kapil was going through. When Anil Kapoor came and Kapil was not well but he decided that he will stay on the set and just sit quietly, but when Anil saw his condition he refused to shoot the episode and told Kapil that he should take rest.
Kapil Sharma even apologises to Sunil on a social networking site like Facebook and Twitter, but he had not presented his stand when his behaviour of keeping the stars waiting was the talk of the town. Kapil was misunderstood but now he realises that by not putting forward the truth he did a blunder and a lot of media people have taken the advantage of his silence and painted him as an arrogant brat. All the stories were started from the section of digital media.
He was least bothered to market himself and that is why some of the sections of the media took it on themselves and they have written whatever they felt like. He got scandalized when he heard about the things being written about him and the majority of them were not true.
His health is the only reason for the cancellation of the shoot nothing else. About the same Kapil said, “Nothing serious. Main Thoda phisal gaya tha. Abb sambhal gaya hoon (I had slipped, now I’ve regained composure). Health issues hain. I’ve checked into an Ayurveda clinic for complete detoxification. They’re saying I have to stay here for 40 days. But I won’t be able to stay that long. I have a film coming up in November.”
Moreover, Kapil said that his show “The Kapil Sharma Show” going off air will not doom down his career he has not done yet and his show is very far from getting over and he will be coming back stronger than ever as soon as he recovered.
