Thalapathy Vijay will collaborate with his ‘Velayudham’ director Mohan Raja after eight years. The director made it official in one of the city colleges where he went to visit.
At a college event in Chennai, Raja said, “After Velayudham, I will teaming up with Vijay yet again for a film.”
In January last year, Mohan posted a selfie with Vijay and tweeted, “Met my dear friend after a long time. What a man he is. Had a wonderful chat about everything we missed all these days. The way he was proud about Velaikkaran is one of the best moments to me.”
Since then there have been speculations about this collaboration but showing the red sign to these rumors, the director himself came out and made the announcements about his 64th film.
Meanwhile, a source close to the filmmaker told, “Both Vijay and Raja have been in touch for a long time, but only now things have fallen in place. All these months, Raja was working on the script of Thani Oruvan 2, the sequel to his 2015 hit, which had his brother Jayam Ravi playing the lead.”
Vijay is currently busy with the shooting of his 63rd film with director ‘Atlee’ which is a sports-based film. Nayanthara is the female lead in the film and the actor is playing the role of a football coach.
