Actress Mrunal Thakur is one of the few who have been able to successfully transition from television to films.

She recently shared a picture of herself on her Instagram profile, giving out major festival vibes.

Dressed in a lovely green salwar kurti, the ‘Super 30’ actress looks like the definition of cuteness as she poses for the camera with a smile.

She captioned it: “Ever since a child, Diwali has always been very special. Gleaming diya’s, sounds of laughter, aroma of sweets and beautiful clothes always brighten up the celebrations. So excited to be celebrating this Diwali in my gorgeous new ensemble from Soch. Each outfit is so unique and beautiful, really makes you shine so bright!

On the work front, Mrunal has recently begun filming for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s sports drama film ‘Toofan’, co-starring Farhan Akhtar.

She is also filming for the Netflix horror anthology film ‘Ghost Stories’, where she will appear in the segment directed by Karan Johar.

Mrunal was last seen in Nikhil Advani’s action thriller film ‘Batla House’, along with John Abraham. It was inspired by the 2008 Batla house encounter case. It met with mixed reviews but performed well at the box-office.

The actress had also appeared this year in Vikas Bahl’s biographical drama ‘Super 30’ with Hrithik Roshan, which was based on the mathematician Anand Kumar.

Mrunal had made her film debut last year after having a successful career in television with Tabrez Noorani’s ‘Love Sonia.’

In the film, she played the role of a victim of a sex trafficking which was well received by the critics.
