Netflix continues to roll out new series. The streaming giant has announced a new series, coming out on September 4. The show will be a space drama and stars Oscar winner, Hillary Swank. Netflix also released, teaser of the show.
The show’s official premise reads :
“As American astronaut Emma Green (Swank) prepares to lead an international crew on the first mission to Mars, she must reconcile her decision to leave behind her husband (Josh Charles) and teenage daughter (Talitha Bateman) when they need her the most. As the crew’s journey into space intensifies, their personal dynamics and the effects of being away from their loved ones back on Earth become increasingly complex. Away shows that sometimes to reach for the stars, we must leave home behind.”
While, the teaser was released, the streaming company also released couple of photos from the show. Titled as ‘Away’, the show is created by Andrew Hinderaker.
Though, the show’s runner is Jessica Goldberg, Edward Zwick will be directing the first episode. On the other hand, Hillary along with Hinderaker is executively producing the show.
Its other executive producers are Matt Reeves, Jason Katims, Adam Kassan and Jeni Mulein.
