The new song ‘Ghoomar’ from the upcoming Indian period drama movie titled ‘Padmavati‘ has been released today. The movie which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The movie features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari
Today, Bollywood Analyst Taran Adarsh released the song ‘Ghoomar’ from the movie titled ‘Padmavati’ on his Twitter account along with a caption saying, “STUNNING… And Deepika looks ethereal… Here’s #Ghoomar from #Padmavati… Link:”

The makers of the movie have finally released the song ‘Ghoomar’ today. The song features beautiful interiors of the Chittorgarh fort and the makers took approximately 40 days to recreate it. The song has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal. The makers of the movie said that the ‘Ghoomar’ is a song which is traditionally performed by the new bride when she is welcomed in her marital home.
However, Deepika Padukone says that ‘Ghoomar’ is one of the most difficult songs sequence that Sanjay and she have shot for. She says that the shooting of the movie ‘Padmavati’ began with this song and she will never forget that day. When she was approaching her work she felt a chill run through her body. She almost felt like Padmavati soul had entered her body and that feeling still lingers and this will continue for years to come.
Deepika has really tried hard to make the song look really authentic. The makers of the movie wanted this to be visual the masterpiece which is why the makers have got the professional dancers from Kishangarh and Terahtaali musicians from Jaipur to shoot the song. This is the very first time when all will see Shahid Kapoor doing romance with Deepika Padukone while Ranveer Singh will be seen as an antagonist.
The movie ‘Padmavati’ is all set to release on December 1, 2017.
