The South Indian actor R Badree has been roped in to portray the character of Sunil Valson in the upcoming movie ’83, directed by Kabir Khan. Ranveer Singh will portray the role of former Indian cricket team Captain Kapil Dev. The film is based on India’s historic win in 1983 World Cup.

Critically acclaimed natural actor Pankaj Tripathi will be seen in the role of Man Singh, manager of the 1983 World Cup-winning cricket team.
Other cast members include YouTube sensation Sahil Khattar, Tamil actor Jiiva, Punjabi star Ammy Virk, and others. Ranveer Singh will be seen portraying the former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev and Nawazuddin Siddiqui might play the Indian coach.
