A major shift has taken place in the film world. Big films have changed their schedules, again. These films include Robert Pattinson’s The Batman and Keanu Reeves‘s Matrix 4. The audience will have to wait for more now before they get to see Pattinson, in the role of the caped crusader. Scheduled for an October 1, 2021 release, The Batman will not release on this date now, instead, Dennis Villeneuve’s Dune will come out.

Variety reports that Matt Reeves directed The Batman will now release on March 4, 2022. Earlier, before COVID happened, the film was to come out in June 2021. Apart from it, Warner Bros. has delayed two other superhero films. Which are these two?

Ezra Miller’s much anticipated, The Flash and Shazam 2 are the other two films, which are also postponed now. The Flash will now release on June 23, 2022, instead of November 4, 2022. On the other hand, Shazam 2 will not release on November 4, 2022, it will release on June 23, 2023.

Further, Variety also reports that Matrix 4, is now releasing on December 22, 2021. It is preponed from its scheduled date of April 1, 2022. The Lana Wachowski directorial will feature Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett, Priyanka Chopra, and Neil Patrick Harris.

Even though these major films have seen their schedules changed, some big films are still on schedule for a release this year. Wonder Woman 1984, Free Guy, and Soul are all set for a release this December.

Warner Bros.’s decision to postpone several of their big films is due to the fact, that the pandemic disputed the shooting of several of their films. It upended the whole shooting process and the films require time, to take good shape. Therefore, the studio decided to postpone the films.

Since the films have changed their schedules, it is time, that you mark the change in their dates too.
