Saif Ali Khan‘s upcoming movie ‘Chef‘, which is based on an American actor/comedian Jon Favreau’s film of the same title. ‘Chef’ was one of the most anticipated movie of the year. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Bandra West Pictures, the movie is being helmed by director Raja Krishna Menon.
The movie is based on the life of a professional chef, who quits his job at a popular Los Angeles restaurant, to launch a food truck with his friend and son. Earlier, the film was slated to release on July 14. July 14 release meant that we were going to witness a yet another clash in Bollywood, this time between Chef and Jagga Jasoos.
‘Jagga Jasoos’ is an upcoming 2017 Indian musical adventure romantic comedy film written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Adah Sharma in lead roles, and tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father.
According to the sources, we have come to know that Chef will no longer compete wth Jagga Jasoos as the film’s release has been pushed to August. This surely comes as a relief. Given that lady luck hasn’t been favouring Saif at the box office lately and going up against a family entertainer like Jagga Jasoos didn’t seem like a wise decision anyways, we are glad that the film has been postponed.
Although we are delighted to hear about the clash not happening, we are saddened since we will have to wait for an another month for Chef’s release.
