We don’t know how many of you have watched Netflix’s ‘The Kissing Booth 2’, if you haven’t we urge you to watch it ASAP. The third installment of the film is coming out soon. Yes, we are not joking, although the second part released recently on July 24 2020. Netflix announced this on Sunday, with the third part set for a 2021 release.

The teen romantic comedy film series, stars Joey King, Joel Courtney and Jacob Elordi. Vince Marcello is the director of the films, which are based on Beth Reekles’s novel of the same name.

You might wonder, how can they release another film so soon ? Apparently, they shot the second and third part, simultaneously. Surely a good move to save production costs by the crew.

The film series revolves around two childhood friends, Shelly Evans and Lee Flynn, which gets complicated when Shelly gets attracted to Lee’s older brother, Noah Flynn.

The third part’s official plotline read :

“It’s the summer before Elle (Joey King) heads to college, and she has a secret: She got into both Harvard, where her dreamy boyfriend Noah (Jacob Elordi) goes, and Berkeley, where her BFF Lee (Joel Courtney) is going. Which path will Elle choose?”

Like the first instalment, the second film in the series have received poor critical reviews, although many have called it as an improved film.

The first film in the series released in 2018, it got negative reviews as critics called it misogynistic and cliched. Although, it didn’t matter to Netflix, as the film became a commercial success based on the amount of views it gained.
