The episode begins with Kartik’s family objecting to Naira’s willingness to find a job. They tell him that she’s from a rich family and doesn’t need to work to feed her son, Kairav. Kartik, however corrects them that women should be able to support themselves and the strain in their relationship in the past was caused by him.
He visits Naira’s house, bearing gifts and balloons for Kairav, but he’s not present. Naira comes back from a job interview, but she appears disappointed. Kartik suggests to her that she could resume her work at the Dance academy. Naira is grateful to hear this, and remembers the days when she used to be a dancer.
Kairav then returns with Naksh, but he’s not very happy to see Kartik, who tries to engage him without much enthusiastic response. Naira observes some tension between them, and asks Kairav why is he upset, but he runs out of the hall. Kairav is later spotted cutting up photographs that feature his father. He looks visibly angry. Karthik and Naira come up to see him, but Naksh tells them that he’s gone to the temple.
Kartik talks to Naira about how excited he is that his, and Kairav’s birthday fall on the same day and thanks her for not choosing cesarean surgery when she was pregnant. At the temple, Kairav watches two sets of father and sons, and thinks why his father turned into an angry man rather than the loving person he used to be.
Tomorrow: Tensions escalate as Kairav refuses to go to his birthday party at Kartik’s house.
