Cyclone Gaja is likely to make a landfall over South Tamil Nadu by Thursday evening. It is expected that the landfall might cause scattered rains to commence over South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru from Thursday afternoon.
Weather conditions of Karnataka were dry since Nov 6 which caused a considerable variation between day and night temperatures. The expected rains which will cause an increase in humidity levels and cloud cover might also raise the minimum temperatures by two to three degrees. This would eventually lead to reduce the huge variation between day and night temperatures.
