Moto has launched Moto G50 and G100 in the European market. Both the phones are expected to debut in the Indian market in the coming weeks. Moto G100 is powered by Snapdragon 870G chipset with a quad-camera setup at the rear, whereas, Moto G50 features a triple-camera setup.

Moto G50 Specifications

The Moto G50 is powered by Snapdragon 480 octa-core 5G chipset, which is built on an 8nm fabrication process, with Adreno 619 GPU, paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The storage on the device can be expanded through a microSD card up to 1TB. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box with Moto’s custom near-stock UI.

Moto G50

The device features a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 720×1,600 pixels, 269ppi pixel density, and an 85 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display has a refresh rate of 90Hz and features a v-shaped notch for the front camera.

As for the camera, the Moto G50 sports a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 5MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, a 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture is placed under the v-shaped notch.

The mobile phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support. The fingerprint scanner is placed at the rear. Connectivity options like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port are on offer. Both the sim slots support 5G connectivity.

Moto G50 Color Options

The Moto G50 will be offered in two color options- Steel Grey and Aqua Green. As for the pricing, the pricing for the device starts from EUR 250 (Rs. 21,300) in Europe for the 4GB+64GB version. 4GB + 128GB storage model will be available in certain markets. The device will hit certain European markets in the coming week.

Considering the price range, it will compete with Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, which runs on Snapdragon 732G, features a 120Hz AMOLED panel, and a 108MP quad-camera setup, starting at Rs. 19,999.

Moto G100 Specifications

Moto G100 draws power from Snapdragon 870G 5G chipset, coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card up to 1TB. The smartphone runs on Android 11 with a near-stock UI.

The device boasts a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with 1,080 x 2,520 pixels resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio, and 90Hz refresh rate. The display supports HDR10 and has an 85-percent screen-to-body ratio. 

As far as the camera is concerned, it sports a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 16MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and 117-degree field-of-view, a 2MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a Time of Flight sensor. Upfront, the device has a dual camera setup with a 16MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

The mobile phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 20W TurboPower fast-charging technology. It also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It offers the same connectivity features as the Moto G50.

Moto G100 Color Options

Moto G100 is will be offered in three color options- Iridescent Ocean, Iridescent Sky, and Slate Grey. The device is priced EUR 499.99 (Rs. 42,500) for the sole 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. It will hit some of the European and Latin American markets in the coming week.

Considering the price point, it will compete with last year’s OnePlus 8T, which is powered by Snapdragon 865G processor, a 120Hz AMOLED panel, and a 48MP quad-camera setup, priced at Rs. 42,999.

There has been no statement from the company regarding the India launch of the devices, however, it is expected to come to India in mid-April.
